After acquiring the land in November 2023, we faced various challenges over about a year and eight months, but construction and preparations for acceptance are finally complete, and we have started accepting accommodation reservations.

A Memorable Stay: Why I Built a Villa in Miyakojima
Since semi-retiring in 2018, I have traveled to various places, where I was captivated by the Miyako Blue ocean and came to visit this island again and again. Then, through fortunate connections, I was able to acquire two properties between 2023 and 2024.
Drawing on my experience of living abroad for over 20 years and returning to Japan—having stayed in a wide variety of accommodations around the world, from 1,000-yen-per-night guesthouses to luxury hotels costing hundreds of thousands of yen—I aim to operate villas and vacation rentals from the guest's perspective.
For seasoned travelers who choose villas over hotels, I hope that, just like me, you can experience the local life of Miyako Island and feel the leisurely pace of island time amidst its beautiful nature.
As the culmination of my life, I chose the lodging industry as my final business arena. In English, it is called the “Hospitality Business,” an industry dedicated to delivering comfort, enjoyment, a sense of security, and unforgettable memories through hospitality.
For 10 years at a principled foreign-affiliated company, I thoroughly practiced the mindset of "Working backwards from customers." Designing services and spaces starting from the customer's ideal experience—I want to apply that attitude to future villa management as well.
The moment guests smile and feel "I'm glad I stayed here" is the greatest reward for me.
Reopened in January 2025, "Ryukyu Kominka Yumata" has been designed to offer a space where you can feel the rustic lifestyle of Miyako Island's traditional settlements while enjoying modern amenities. A new swimming pool has also been added, so please enjoy a relaxing time by the poolside with a hamburger and a beer in hand.
And the large luxury villa "BAYFRONT YONAHA," scheduled for completion in the summer of 2025, is built in a prime location facing Yonaha Bay and generously equipped with luxurious amenities such as a 10-meter infinity pool, a sauna, and a cold plunge pool with a chiller. I designed it myself aiming for a level of comfort and fulfillment where I feel you could just stay here and not even need to go outside.
